NEW INDUSTRY REPORT: We surveyed hundreds of people and found that awful experiences harm consumers more now that we’re 'in' the internet. Today, with smartphones and other devices, we’re constantly reliant on the internet, blurring the lines between the real world and the web. Everything is smart, payments are touchless, cell service is vital, and the bugs are much, much worse. In our report, Every Experience Counts, we share the findings we uncovered from a survey of 500 people in the US. You'll read real-life stories of what it's like for people when things go sideways online, how bad (even harmful) digital experiences can change how people perceive companies, sway their purchasing decisions, and significantly damage your bottom line. Sauce Labs reposted this

Yesterday was Sauce Labs 16th anniversary. So we figured what better way to celebrate than to have 🤖 Jason Huggins join us on the most recent Test Case Scenario podcast episode to talk "Everything is Software, and Everything is Broken." We recorded this episode on July 11, exactly 16 years after Jason submitted his resignation from Google to start Sauce Labs. We had no idea when we recorded that a major global outage would occur the following week.

We surveyed 500 consumers who use the digital products your team helps create. 86% of people said dysfunctional experiences made them at least slightly less likely to purchase. Actually pause and apply these numbers for your own company’s revenue. How many users have 3-4 negative experiences with your product per session or month? And if 86% of those noticeable flaws influence people’s decisions? And if 28% have a significant or extreme impact? For a company doing millions or billions in sales, that’s a huge leak. Lots more findings in our new report, Every Experience Counts: https://lnkd.in/gFv5nxzZ

Open source program offices play a huge role in bridging the gap between the rapid pace of technological advancements and growing disparity between growth and quality. Sauce Labs' very own Paloma Oliveira just got back from the United Nations' OSPOs for Good event in New York City. In our latest blog post, Paloma has lots to say on why the free software movement has never been more important — along with highlights from each day of the event. Read it: https://lnkd.in/gTuPZwXM

Flutter is a relatively new mobile development framework powered by Google. While it has gained a lot of popularity, due to some limitations on the framework, you can only test Flutter apps locally. We’re thrilled to announce that Sauce Labs now supports the Appium Flutter Integration Driver on real devices in the US-East, US-West, and EU-Central regions! This new integration now allows you to test apps in the cloud and on multiple devices concurrently, so you get more feedback faster. Thanks to Sauce Labs' very own, Kristof Muhi, and Sai Krishna, Srinivasan Sekar, and Sudharsan Selvaraj for their collaboration and partnership on this amazing open source initiative.
