On the latest episode of the #inSecuritiespod, hosts Chris Ekimoff, CPA/CFF, CFE and Kurt Wolfe discuss recent U.S. Supreme Court decisions that will have profound impacts for the SEC and other agencies. Join us for a discussion of the Jarkesy case, which held that defendants in SEC enforcement proceedings have a Constitutional right to have fraud cases heard by a jury; and Loper Bright, which overrules the decades-old Chevron doctrine, ending the presumption that courts must rely on agencies' interpretations of ambiguous statutes. How do you get the right people to know about you and what you do? Jaimie Field tackles this question as she describes how to create a "personal legal brand." Thanks to everyone who attended and spoke at the Your Path to Chambers: Clerking and Interning for a Federal Judge program and reception, held in our New York Conference Center this week! Law students and junior lawyers enjoyed a rare opportunity to hear from a panel of esteemed federal judges, including Co-Chairs Judge Diane Gujarati and Judge Elizabeth S. Stong, along with Judges Myrna Pérez and Sarah L. Cave, who shared their diverse perspectives on judicial clerkships and internships. The program is just one of PLI's growing number of resources for the #lawschool community — visit our Law School Hub for programs and publications on career strategy and skills, plus substantive primers on legal topics that #lawstudents can use to get a jump start on their careers: https://lnkd.in/e3DwRv7T
