Today we celebrated the third consecutive Juneteenth holiday at Sutter Health Park! We featured Oak Park Brewing Co.’s Juneteenth blonde ale around the concourse to put light of our local Sacramento neighbors who we stand proud with! • What is Juneteenth? The Juneteenth holiday marks the end of slavery in the United States and the Juneteenth National Independence Day which is the 12th legal federal holiday — the first new holiday since Martin Luther King Jr. Day was signed into law in 1983. Juneteenth celebrates African American resilience and achievement while aiding in the preservation of those historical narratives that promoted racial and personal advancement • A big thank you to Kindra F. Montgomery-Block for helping us kick off our inaugural celebration at the Sacramento River Cats game. • Take a peek at the soul food buffet that our executive chef presented in Legacy Club!
