Noble recently hosted students from Nextgen at our NobleAdvances training center, where they learned about careers in the offshore drilling industry. The Nextgen program provides insights into oil and gas job opportunities for young people seeking an alternative to a four-year degree. We're excited to support initiatives that foster the next generation of offshore leadership. Here's a two-minute snapshot of how the students spent their day.

As part of our Guyana Alliance with ExxonMobil, Noble has transformed the way our crews work digital drilling plans. We’ve bridged the onshore and offshore teams, improving efficiency and safety. These efforts were made possible by our collaboration with Horizon56, which provides the digital solution, deployment experts and continued support. See how the solution has been adopted by the operations team in Houston, Guyana, and on the rigs in this 3-minute video.

Noble Operational Risk Management Support (NORMS) takes lessons learned from each rig and applies them across our entire fleet. While each rig may only perform certain critical operations a few times a year, across our fleet we perform similar operations weekly. NORMS leverages these collective experiences to provide guidance on improving the next operation. Each rig retains decision-making rights for specific operations, while NORMS provides essential support and capacity. With an emphasis on planning and collaboration across the fleet, NORMS strengthens Noble’s best-in-class position for safe, efficient, and reliable operations.

Noble is excited to announce our first drilling campaign offshore Poland. The jackup Noble Resolve will drill one well for CEP Central European Petroleum BV in the Wolin Concession starting October 2024, in direct continuation after SPS. The contract spans 45 days at a dayrate of 140,000 USD/day. “This contract marks a milestone for Noble as we drill offshore Poland for the first time,” said Blake Denton, SVP of Marketing and Contracts. “We have nearly 300 employees in our Gdansk office who are especially proud of this achievement, and we appreciate the trust placed in our crew by Central European Petroleum.”

Noble's success starts with the hard work and talent of our offshore crews and support staff. Throughout her long Noble career, Faye Kozack kept us "afloat" with her dedicated recruiting efforts, placing the best people for the job on our many global vessels. It was an easy decision to name a drillship in her honor! This week, three incredible events converged when Faye celebrated her 80th birthday, the Noble Faye Kozack began a new drilling campaign offshore Brazil, and our rig manager Ricardo Duarte also celebrated a birthday. We're sensing that if you stick with Faye Kozack, there will be much happiness in your orbit. Here is a photo from Faye's visit to "her" drillship last spring (Ricardo is to her right), as well as her birthday photo with her twin sister Fern. So much to celebrate!

The Noble Venturer crew has made us proud once again! The collaboration and close cooperation with Tullow Oil on this campaign highlighted our collective commitments to safety and achieved incredible results.

Noble is constantly striving to use components that reduce downtime and increase safety, as a benefit to our crews and our customers. Our collaboration with Oilgear has grown since 2019 when we were the first company to successfully field trial and install Oilgear SPM valves on a BOP control POD. The Oilgear Multifunction SPM valve is a completely new design which can be installed in Normally Closed, Normally Open, Normally Closed Bias, and Normally Open Bias applications with no changes to the valve. This simplifies operations and maintenance while eliminating the possibility of installing a valve in incorrectly. The evolution of BOP components is an effort that should be cooperative between manufacturers and end-users. The safety stakes are high, and the functional improvements are appealing. We appreciate the opportunity to support vendors who are as invested as we are in operational excellence.
