Join us for a Public Workshop on the Miami-Dade County Urban Forestry Plan! 🌳 Miami-Dade County’s Draft Urban Forestry Plan is a blueprint to reach the County’s ambitious goal of 30% urban tree canopy cover. In collaboration with Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, the Miami-Dade County Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources, Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces, and Miami-Dade County Office of Resilience, we have developed this draft plan to inform residents, businesses and stakeholders of the state of our urban forests and the challenges they face, so the County can outline steps to advance our goals for an equitable, robust and resilient urban forest system. Trees and our urban forest system are critical for cooling neighborhoods, cleaning stormwater and air pollution, reducing floods, and storing carbon. Our urban tree canopy is an essential part of building a more resilient community where residents in all our corners of #OurCounty can live, work, and thrive. Miami-Dade County cannot achieve these goals alone, which is why your input is so critical. 💬 Join our VIRTUAL public workshop coming up this week: 📅 Date: Thursday, July 25 🕕 Time: 6:00 - 7:30 PM 💻 Register: https://lnkd.in/edr-DPV5 💬 Join us for an IN PERSON public workshop next week: 📅 Date: Thursday, August 1 🕕 Time: 6:00 - 7:30 PM 📍 Location: Stephen P. Clark Government Center, 18th Floor, Room 18-4, 111 NW 1st St, Miami, FL 33132 ✅ RSVP here: https://lnkd.in/e2KnhHi5 💬 You can also provide your comments through this online form: https://lnkd.in/eVijv9QK The public feedback period is open until August 16, 2024. Check out the video below to hear from Patricia Gomez, Ph.D., our Interim Chief Resilience Officer, on the role that transportation plays in climate change, including how ultra fast chargers are crucial in reducing pollution in our community. ⚡ #Transportation is the largest contributor to climate pollution across #OurCounty. These ultra-fast chargers are crucial in helping residents embrace and adopt electric vehicle technology. 🚙🔌 To make the rapid progress #OurCounty needs to achieve its carbon reduction goals, it will take #innovation from all parts of society, including how the government works with the private sector to partner on accelerating project financing and implementation. 🔜
We are pleased to share exciting updates from Marina Palms!🌴 Recently, we launched our first Level 3 charging application at Marina Palms luxury condominiums, marking a significant leap towards sustainable living. Designed to optimize space and resources, #ADSTECEnergy‘s #ChargeBox features two charging points, efficiently serving the charging needs of residents. We were privileged to receive insights from Patricia Gómez, Deputy Chief Resilience Officer of Miami-Dade County, who enlightened us on the role that transportation plays in the creation of climate change, emphasizing how our ultra fast chargers are crucial in reducing pollution in the North Miami community. ⚡ Want to learn more about how you can implement our solution in your residential condos?
