When using a center-pull hoist ring for a side-pull lift, there's a risk it might get stuck in an over-center position. If it suddenly releases, it can shock-load the crane. However, with RUD Chain, Inc. ACP hoist ring, this problem is avoidable. The ring is designed to rotate freely, always aligning with the path of least resistance. This ensures the load ring remains free from binding, making your lifts safer and more efficient. The ACP hoist ring is the only RUD product that meets all ASME B30.26 Rigging Hardware requirements. Employee safety is a pillar of Global Lifting Awareness Day #GLAD2024 A big part of creating safe environments is adhering to industry standards, including those created by ASME (The American Society of Mechanical Engineers). If you’re a lifting professional, you'll want to pay extra attention to ASME B30.20, which requires you to inspect your lifting plate clamps. To help inform people on how to properly perform a lifting clamp inspection, we took a road trip to The Caldwell Group, Inc. Headquarters in Rockford, Illinois to find out what rejection criteria you should look for when inspecting a plate clamp. Caldwell Engineering Manager, Dale Kelly, walks us through the entire process 🎥: https://hubs.li/Q02H4DDk0

Steel mills are one of the most dangerous environments a lifting professional can work in. Thankfully, employee safety has dramatically improved in recent years, thanks in large part to technological advancements, like no-touch technology. A perfect example of this evolution is the Elebia Autohooks, S.L.U. automatic crane hook. Whether it’s removing your workers from dangerous situations, their high durability, or improving productivity levels, Elebia hooks have proven to be a reliable and valuable tool at steel mills nationwide. As part of Global Lifting Awareness Day #GLAD2024 , we’re spotlighting technology—like the Elebia auto hook—that’s improving safety in the lifting industry. Check out our article and video that goes over how and where they’re used in steel mills and additional info on no-touch technology ⤵️ https://hubs.li/Q02H4D-K0
