Cummins Inc. will invest $150 million, including a $75 million federal grant, to convert part of its Columbus Engine Plant for manufacturing battery-electric vehicle components, creating approximately 250 full-time jobs. Accelera by Cummins Tesla's Cybertruck outsold Ford's F-150 Lightning in the second quarter of 2024, selling an estimated 8,755 units compared to Ford's 7,902 units. Hipcamp and Subaru of America have launched a resource highlighting 10 electric vehicle-ready road trips across the U.S., showcasing EV charging and campsite locations to encourage adventure and exploration. With support from Failup Ventures and Uber Technologies and $6.4 million, itselectric is expanding its urban EV curbside charging infrastructure to seven U.S. cities, including Boston and Los Angeles, to power electric ride-sharing fleets by 2030. Generac Power Systems Inc. has announced its first EV charger, a state-of-the-art Level 2 charger with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, offering enhanced energy management solutions amid a projected 11% U.S. EV market share in 2024.
