Welcome to DC and the JW Marriott Washington DC National Black MBA Association LOT Students! The Leaders of Tomorrow (LOT) Program is an initiative by the National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA). It's a comprehensive program designed to provide leadership development and STEM exposure to high school students. The program is driven by mentoring across five developmental areas: 1. **Leadership** 2. **Financial Literacy** 3. **College Readiness** 4. **Career Preparation** 5. **Life Skills** The LOT Program includes a National Business Case Competition, a 9-week business skills after-school program where students learn to study and address business challenges in team-driven learning environments. They develop fundamental skills, critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication in a 5-week intensive training series. The National Leadership Summit is a culminating event for the LOT program year, hosted by the NBMBAA’s National Headquarters. It's a 4-day youth leadership development training program that includes breakout sessions, guest speakers, college tours, HBCU off-site excursions, business case competitions, a Blue Blazer ceremony, and other enriching social activities. The simulated experience of a case competition is more realistic than classroom discussions and develops students' thinking and communication skills in a different way. In a case competition, they will be solving real issues that companies have faced or are facing. Since its inception in 1991, the NBMBAA® Leaders of Tomorrow® Program has mentored more than 8,000 talented youth aspiring to leadership roles in professional fields.
