The 2024 AIAA/IEEE Electric Aircraft Technologies Symposium (EATS) starts today! EATS will run from Monday through Wednesday this week during Aviation - see the agenda below. Organized jointly by AIAA and IEEE, EATS has been at the forefront of advancing electrified aircraft propulsion since 2018. This year, we are excited to have SARES (International Sustainable Aviation and Energy Research Society) also supporting EATS. We have a great agenda for these three days including: - 3 keynote speakers: Christine Andrews, David H. Robbins, M.S., and James Kenyon, representing different perspectives in electrification - 8 panels (including 2 Forum 360s) covering topics on safety, certification, infrastructure needs, disruptive technologies in sustainable aviation, and DOE ARPA-E and REEACH programs - 3 tutorials, where you can learn from the experts about topics including Battery Thermal Runaway Simulation, Electrified Aircraft Acceleration for Entry Into Service, and Electric Machine Design Considerations for Aerospace Applications - 25 technical sessions, accounting to more than 100 papers Don't forget to join the EATS Social Hour today between 6-8 pm Pacific time in Alliance Ballroom 320 to socialize with the EATS attendees, speakers, and supporters. You can see the EATS-specific agenda in your printed technical programs available at the registration desk or online under the Aviation Program using the EATS filter: https://lnkd.in/eNMGFgfR I'd like to acknowledge the 2024 EATS Committee members and organizers for all their hard work and dedication in organizing these activities.
