🏆 Congratulations to North Side High School for clinching the championship title in the 2024 Arby's National Case Competition! 🏆 In this year's fiercely competitive event, almost 6,000 students from 44 schools nationwide suggested modifications to the Arby's customer experience, all tailored to appeal to the demographic of 13-17-year-olds. Utilizing Simple Surveys and Cultural Agility, the ninth-grade students innovatively developed their concepts. The final showdown, held on April 11, 2024, saw the top four teams—Olathe East (Kansas), Ocoee (Florida), Northview (Georgia) and our champions, North Side (Indiana) — compete live in front of a panel of esteemed judges from Arby's. A heartfelt thank you to our judges for their invaluable insights and guidance throughout the competition: JoAnn Reilly, Jill Bussa, Chad Zeitz, Michael Willocks. Amidst stiff competition, North Side High School emerged victorious with their solution "Rodeo Rewards." This in-app game redefines the Arby's experience for teens, boasting customizable features that engage and retain young customers. With strategic gamification and community-building at its core, "Rodeo Rewards" seeks to attract and cultivate a loyal following among 13-17-year-olds. Judges were unanimous in their praise for North Side's winning presentation, citing their meticulous data analysis, effective communication, and forward-thinking approach. As one judge remarked, "It was an all-around promising idea, and I think it could be quickly implemented." We are immensely grateful for the support of Arby's Foundation, our founding partners of 3DE. Since 2016, the foundation has been a steadfast supporter of 3DE, and this marks their fourth year sponsoring the ninth-grade National Case Competition! Huge thank you to Inspire, Arby's Foundation, Stuart Brown, Emily Crawford, and Molly Anderkin for making this event possible! To all of the incredible students who participated in this year's competition, your creativity and dedication have truly set the bar high - congratulations and great work! Congratulations to West Forsyth High School for winning the 2024 The Home Depot National Case Competition! In this year's competition, students from 35 schools across the nation were challenged to create an innovative shopping experience for DIYers, showcasing one of The Home Depot's best-selling departments. Acting as members of The Home Depot Innovation team, they employed the Design Thinking Model to develop their ideas and foster creativity and innovation. After multiple rounds of judging, the final four teams were selected to compete live on March 7. Our #champions, West Forsyth High School from Cumming, Georgia, impressed the audience with their renter-focused solution. They recommended The Home Depot add a display of specifically renter-friendly items like peel and stick flooring, backsplashes and wallpaper. Additionally, they proposed promoting the "renters refuge" via social media collaborations with DIYers. Teresa Roseborough, representing The Home Depot as a judge, shared that the judges "were surprised we're not doing this in our stores right now." She appreciated how they identified a new customer base for Home Depot and thanked them for their work and thoughtfulness, expressing excitement about potentially implementing some aspects of their project in stores in the future. A big shoutout to all the finalists—Dunedin HS, Northview HS, and Snider HS—for their outstanding performances and commendable efforts throughout the competition. Special thanks to the expert judges from The Home Depot— Teresa Roseborough, Tim Wilkerson, Brad Seitel, and Lee Hendrickson, for their invaluable contributions and support. For those who missed the excitement, you can catch the full event here: https://lnkd.in/e-5MYRiM Join me in congratulating the West Forsyth team—Charlotte Condra, Katherine Condra, Lilly Dunn, Maggie Rhody, and Evelyn Siok- on their well-deserved victory! Transformative Education: 3DE Paving the Way for Workforce Readiness In a world that's evolving at an unprecedented pace, preparing students for the workforce requires more than just traditional classroom education. Recognizing this need, 3DE has emerged as a transformative force, providing students with a forward-thinking approach to education. As a key partner of 3DE, Inspire Brands places an emphasis on career readiness. The recent SPARK 2023 event, hosted by Inspire Brands CEO Paul Brown and GRAMMY-winning artist Ludacris, underscored the significance of instilling critical job skills in the next generation. The highlight was Inspire Brands' announcement of a one-million-dollar commitment to support 30+ nonprofit organizations, including 3DE, dedicated to empowering youth and enhancing workforce readiness. During the #workforcereadiness panel, Paul Brown emphasized the importance of individuals who bring enthusiasm, a willingness to take extra steps, and a desire to be part of a team—qualities that transcend technical skills and are crucial for success in any role. He stated, "It's less of a skill, more of an attitude and energy, an enthusiasm." This resonates deeply with 3DE's approach, which prioritizes the development of not just technical skills but also a mindset that fosters enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, and a collaborative spirit. 3DE provides a comprehensive educational model that prepares students for expanded economic opportunities and choice-filled lives.  By strategically partnering with districts, 3DE facilitates access to in-demand careers, fosters school stability through robust teacher and student engagement, and cultivates a culture of inclusionary instruction and individual value. Central to 3DE's instructional approach is the development of foundational #competencies that empower students to apply and measure their mindset, skills, knowledge, and abilities in real-world scenarios. The engagement of nearly 200 organizations as 3DE case partners underscores the commitment to real-world learning, providing students with transferable behaviors that make them competitive, regardless of their chosen path after high school. The impact of 3DE's approach is evident in the statistics: 86% of 3DE students recognize the #relevance of school, compared to a mere 46% of rising 9th graders. This impressive 87% increase in student perception highlights the effectiveness of 3DE's focus on preparing students for life beyond the classroom. In conclusion, 3DE, in collaboration with partners like Inspire Brands & Arby's Foundation, are setting a new standard for education. By instilling essential skills, fostering a culture of enthusiasm and adaptability, and maintaining a commitment to real-world relevance, 3DE is preparing students to not only navigate but excel in the workforce of tomorrow.

3DE Spotlighted in Documentary! 📽 We are thrilled to share a project we were privileged to be part of, "A Cure for the Common Classroom," created by 519 Films. In 2018, we received a surprise request to join this project, showcasing how school can be done differently. About the Project: "A Cure for the Common Classroom" is a captivating exploration of reimagining education. It follows three students who abandon conventional high schools to join unique classrooms and receive an education reimagined. The documentary features insights from global experts, including Sir Richard Branson , Simon Sinek, Ulcca Joshi Hansen and more.. The film delves into three distinct approaches to doing school differently: - Traveling the World and Making Connections - Tapping into Individualistic Desires - Creating Schools That Align with the Future of Work and Thriving Communities (That's us, 3DE!) Today's world is evolving at a breakneck pace, and education must keep up. "A Cure for the Common Classroom" challenges the antiquated education model and explores how we, at 3DE, empower students to become agile, self-actualized, global thinkers who shape a sustainable future. 🎬 Watch "A Cure for the Common Classroom" - Director's Cut and join us in reshaping the future of education: https://lnkd.in/dgUuNjj6 As the director, Andy Hourahine, aptly put it, "Today, we find ourselves at a tipping point where the world can no longer survive with the status quo. By growing beyond the why of educational reform and focusing on how, I believe we find proof positive that something different and better is possible." #EducationEvolved #ACureForTheCommonClassroom #3DESchools #519Films
