Do educate yourself before anything else. CSR uses the company money that could have been used for development or benefit for those who invested. This is a responsibility in disguise. No matter what you do, make sure it reflects back to those who give. CSR isn't just passion blinding you to do anything. It's about a focus you drive as a practice from the company. You could be an ambassador, yet the credit should be passed through. For you to effectively execute any plans, make sure you know the science behind the work and study if you don't know. Also don't just become an activist. It's nice to riot for a cause, yet it's nicer to give a solution than just blaming.

My General Manager told me this some time back. I know you do a lot, but don't reflect on everything. Just say the most important but not everything. I know your capability and I really don't doubt, just let go off the smaller ones and highlight the big ones. Everyone isn't passionate about everything, just state the most important and make sure it remains in their heads.
