Interesting, follow that link that you posted and go to "Others". Look at the picture of the gallery menu. There are 3 perfectly sized spaces there for other pictures. There's currently 22 boxes.
The character select screen doesn't leave much room though:

Nope it doesn't but KOF:XI and MOTW allowed characters off screen to be selected
according to an article to 1up they think more characters are possible but knowing snk i doubt it and 1up isnt that reliable either

Unfortunately the last I read about this clan support was only for the ps3. Of course that was 1 or 2 months ago. And now with the game being delayed an entire month, bringing Clan support to XBL could very well be the reason. Don't hold your breath though.
