My Tucson 2017 when stopping at the traffic waiting for it turn green, the rpm gauge goes up little bit 1 or half line while the brake pedal is being pressed and it feels like the car is cutting of. Is that something normal or there is a problem? Thanks.

My guess, the air conditioning might've cut in, that hogs a fair bit of idle power.

//is very noticeable on old 4 cylinder cars

I don't turn on the air conditioning and it happens one day and other day doesn't. It just happen when I'm completely stopped at traffic by pressing the brake pedal and the RPM gauge goes a little up half line and etc.

Ok, I'll leave that to someone who knows better.

//would personally be wanting to get it checked out by a mechanic, being a critical safety feature 'n all
