Where to Find Mant
Mant is one of the bosses in Grounded that you'll fight when you reach the upper yard section of the main story missions. On this page, we'll detail where you can find Mant as well as what you can expect from the fight.
Where to Find Mant
Mant can be found in the Undershed, as you make your way through the underground to find Dr Tully. When you enter the Undershed, you'll come to a room filled with Ox Beetles, Roly Poly and more. In this room, you want to head to the back and towards the large Sinkhole (this is in a northern direction from where you enter).
When you reach the Sinkhole, you should be able to see a tunnel opposite that is covered with webs. Use the tree branches on the right-hand side of the room, to climb across and over to the tunnel. This is, in fact, a Black Widow's nest.
You'll have to run through this, to reach the lab where Mant can be found. As you enter the Black Widow's nest, look for the light that shines through on the other side. This is the direction you should head, to exit the nest and find the Undershed Lab.
Inside the Undershed Lab
Go inside and follow the path until you reach the room with the beds. You can set this as your respawn point in case you die going up against Mant. Take the path to the left first, and follow the corridor until you reach the room with the Infected Larva. Go to the back of this room and interact with the terminal.
Make your way back to the room with the beds, and this time take the path to your right. This will take you into the room where you can see Mant and two locked doors. A panel from the ceiling will be hanging down, so head towards this. Look up in the ceiling to find a hole and some Raw Science.
Jump up here, then head to the right to locate the hole to drop down into the room with Mant.
As you drop inside, the fight with Mant will begin, so make sure you're adequately prepared!
How to Fight Mant
The majority of Mant's attacks will be powerful punches and slamming his fists down into the ground. He will also leap up and pound his fists down to create a more powerful attack.
When you've taken around 1/3 of his health, these attacks will continue but he'll also begin to summon Fire Ants to help him and begin to use ranged attacks. These will include using the fungal growth from his back to throw out explosives. As he transitions to this phase of attacking, he'll start to explode repeatedly, so get as much distance from him as you can when this happens.
Mant is weakest to stabbing and slashing weapons, as well as Fresh attacks. Avoid using explosives, as well as Salty or Spicy elements. We'd recommend using mutations that help with stamina recovery such as Cardio Fan, so you can attack him faster and for a more sustained period, as well as those that create buffs for blocking like Parry Master or Shocking Dismissal.
