Skull and Bones Review
good
Skull and Bones is a maritime RPG with a strong foundation, even if it feels like a live-service first draft.

Have played for a couple of days now and one of the best games that I've played hope they keep working on the game tho
this is a pirate game in it's own right and style, give it a chance and play it with an open mind. don't expect it to be another sea of thieves or black flag game, because it is not, it is better in my opponion. this game is a lot of fun and has awesome art design and game play. you get to customize your pirate and your ship. as you progress you can unlock more cosmetics to try for both as well.
Really feel bad for playing this game for over 200 hours, waste of time but really wanted to give it a chance
Look don't go expecting black flags ambiance other that the non-cartoonish characters and the semi realistic look of the world. It's still a pretty good game despite ppl bashing it cuz they lack crit thinking. Already clocked over 100 hrs, granted slept on hours, but hey that's how good the game is to me. Haven't touched any of my old games after this game came out, hell I even started to stream it myself maybe to prove doubters wrong, but hey can't swing the masses to see your line of thought.
This is just all i hoped it would be.
I thoroughly enjoyed this game—up to the endgame, which is atrocious. S&B is two things: combat; merchant trading. In that sense, this sort of has a weird vibe of Sid Meier’s “Pirates!” AC: Black Flag this is not, and hence it streamlines to “you are the pirate ship,” and not so much hand-to-hand combat and jumping off the ship organically. This is menu-driven, combat-driven, and a light looter-shooter hook.
Thoroughly enjoyed my time. Ignore haters.
That said, the endgame develops into a PvP/PvE empire conquest mode that, in truth, is a glorified paper boy delivery route as you make sure your factories are stocked up. And when you realize the endgame currency requires this and is a hard lock to progression, you — like me — will see the extreme grind and quit until this is patched out.
7.8/10
The game is fun and engaging, despite the hate it's getting, mostly from people who haven't even played it. Yes, there is no melee combat, but the game does a good job at focusing on the naval combat, progression system and multiplayer, etc.
I wasn't this interested in a game in a long time.
Not near enough content for full price. No land combat and treasure hunts is a complete joke. How have a pirate game without being a pirate ☠️. There should be more boarding and land sword fighting then ship fighting. Worst part is they know this. Just refer to AC black flag. I sincerely hope they fix this game it has so much potential
Don't bother. Ubisoft made a better pirate game on mobile like a decade ago as a tie-in for Assassin's Creed IV. It wasn't good, but it's better than this crap.
Don't let corpos design your games, kids.
I was excited to see a pirate story in a new place with a different perspective than the usual, but it's wasted on this slop.
I hoped to love this game but unfortunately not.
This game has no story. It could be fun to play only with friends.
If you play solo it's a super "grindy" game.
