What a comeback for 2D Metroid after 19 years. Beautiful graphics for Switch, and intense gameplay for a side scroller. The game will get difficult even with the most powerful upgrades, and that’s fine. Multiplayer would have been fun, but this game still hits the mark. 9/10

Easily one of the very best games on Switch and a genuine masterpiece that’s up there with Mario Odyssey, Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. It easily has the best boss fights of the entire Switch library and I can’t speak of it highly enough. If you haven’t played it, what are you waiting for?
