I have passed the first three levels of RCT1 and I was just about to pass the Scenario 4 ("Diamond Heights"). Just as the month completes and the scenario should complete, the game crashes and gives this error message (see the attached image):

"Error Trapper"
"Exception Raised - Access Violation"
"Error Location: Unknown"

I decided to skip the level and play Scenario 5 ("Evergreen Gardens") but the same thing happens as its scenario completes.

I have tried reinstalling the game to see if this made a difference, but it did not.

I have also tried running the game with the setting "Run this program as an administrator" turned on for all users, and I've also tried the "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" using both "Windows 95" and "Windows 98 / Windows Me" options. Regardless of the combination from any of these two setting, the game will not open.

I have also tried setting "Data Execution Prevention (DEP)" to "Off by default" inside the Windows Security application, and this has also had no effect.

Does anybody have additional ideas that I can try? I can keep skipping scenarios for a bit, but there will come a time shortly when it has not unlocked the next level to play.

The game used to do this as early as XP at least...

What is going on ingame at the time of the crash, is there a common thread (a menu, an event, a ride...) or is it entirely random?
