Harnessing the Power of
Epigenetics for Longevity

Epigenetics is at the forefront of research in the field of aging. Elysium developed the Aging Research Center to harness the power of epigenetics to better our collective understanding of aging by building the world’s most actionable epigenetic dataset, with an emphasis on translation, comprehensiveness, and diversity.

Faster Innovation, Greater Public Access to Breakthroughs in Aging Science

The Aging Research Center will provide consumers with the first-ever opportunity to participate directly in longevity research and gain access to novel and impactful insights, as well as support the development of personalized therapeutics and next-generation diagnostics. These studies will leverage the most unique attributes of Elysium, including its expert scientific team, renowned Scientific Advisory Board, and extensive network of leading academic partners.

Studies are developed in collaboration with leading researchers and clinicians and integrate the latest tools in epigenetics, AI and machine learning, wearables, validated questionnaires, and other assessments.

TIME-A: Participate in a Landmark
Study on Aging and Longevity

All Index users are eligible to enroll in the Translational Initiative to Map Epigenetics in Aging (TIME-A). TIME-A aims to advance our understanding of the connections between epigenetics, lifestyle, demographics, and health and aging.

Benefits of Participating in Research

  1. Participate in first-of-their-kind studies that matter to you and those you care about
  2. Receive first-of-their-kind insights about your health
  3. Where relevant, experience the latest tools in epigenetics, AI and machine learning, wearables, validated questionnaires, and other assessments
  4. Receive exclusive research updates and be the first to access new products and technologies

TIME-ZZZ: Sleep and Aging Study

All Index users are now invited to join the Translational Initiative to Map Epigenetics in Sleep (TIME-ZZZ). Acknowledging the crucial role of sleep in health and longevity, this initiative will explore whether individuals operating "out-of-phase" with their chronotype exhibit distinct biological aging profiles. TIME-ZZZ seeks to advance our understanding of the interplay between sleep, mental health, and aging.

Future Studies
Leveraging Elysium’s Scientific Advisory Board and extensive scientific network, future studies may include:
  1. Female and male fertility
  2. Diet and cardiovascular health
  3. Neuroplasticity
  4. Physical performance
  5. Environmental exposure and stress

FAQs

The Aging Research Center is a digitally-native, collaborative, and longitudinal research effort developed by Elysium Health to better our collective understanding of aging by building the world’s most actionable epigenetic dataset, with an emphasis on translation, comprehensiveness, and diversity.
When you register an Index kit you are automatically registered for the Aging Research Center, which can be accessed through https://my.elysiumhealth.com/. You may enroll in any available studies through your Elysium Health account. Only Index users are eligible to enroll in TIME-A and other subsequent Aging Research Center studies.
You can access available studies through the Aging Research Center and click on the “enroll” button to participate in a study. Only Index users are eligible to enroll in studies within the Aging Research Center.
All Index users are eligible to participate in TIME-A, Elysium’s landmark prospective aging and longevity study that aims to advance our understanding of the connections between epigenetics, lifestyle, demographics, and health and aging. You must purchase or have taken at least one Index test to enroll in TIME-A and future Aging Research Center studies.
By joining the Center, you will be able to participate in first-of-their-kind studies that matter to you and those you care about. You will learn first-of-their-kind insights about your health, and where relevant, experience the latest tools in epigenetics, AI and machine learning, wearables, validated questionnaires, and other assessments. You will also benefit from exclusive research updates and be the first to access new products and technologies.
TIME-A (Translational Initiative to Map Epigenetics in Aging) is a landmark prospective aging study that aims to advance our understanding of the connections between epigenetics, lifestyle, demographics, and health and aging. The study consists of a series of surveys and participants’ survey responses will be combined with their epigenetic Index data to identify the contributions of environmental and lifestyle factors, general health, and medical history on biological age. Participants will receive exclusive research updates and novel insights into how their rate of aging compares to the Index community while contributing to the advancement of aging research. All Index users who registered their kits with Elysium are eligible to enroll.
In order to participate in the TIME-A study, you must purchase or have taken at least one Index test. Elysium recommends that study participants take an Index test at least once every two years. Upon enrollment, you’ll be asked to complete an initial series of questionnaires (in your account, these will appear as “activities”). After completion of the initial set of activities, you’ll be asked to complete additional, occasional activities as they are scheduled. TIME-A is a prospective study and will remain ongoing with no set end date. Participants may withdraw at any time.
Yes. You may withdraw from a study at any time. If you decide to leave the study before it’s complete, you may not enjoy certain benefits. These may include incomplete access to your Index insights and how your results compare to the rest of the Index community. When we use or share your responses for research purposes, we will de-identify such data by, for example, assigning a random ID, so that they cannot be linked to you personally. We may also use or share the aggregated version of your responses for research purposes. “Aggregate Information” means information that relates to a group of people, from which your personal identity has been removed, that is not linked to you. Please keep in mind that your withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of our collection, use, processing, and disclosure of your data based on consent before your withdrawal (e.g., the information you provided and your survey responses will not be removed from the ongoing or completed TIME-A studies, which started before we receive your request to withdraw). The data, information, and responses that we previously collected or that you have previously provided and for which you have given consent to use in our research cannot be removed from ongoing or completed TIME-A studies that use them.
No. The benefits of the Aging Research Center, including insights, research updates, and access to new products and technologies are only available to those who participate in research. Otherwise, research findings will be available to the general public upon peer-reviewed publication.
With the launch of the system measures, Elysium not only improved the technology that underlies Index to provide more personalized and detailed results, we also worked to reduce the cost to make it more accessible. All of our products are priced competitively, and with the significant reduction in price of Index (from a retail price of $499 to $299), we are generally not able to offer further discounts. If you are interested in purchasing more than 10 Index tests, please reach out to our customer experience team at care@elysiumhealth.com to inquire about the availability of bulk pricing for Index.
