Johnny Cage first appeared in Mortal Kombat, and then made a guest appearance in WWE Immortals, because the makers of WWE Immortals, Netherrealm Studios, wanted to put Johnny Cage into their game just like with Scorpion in Injustice: Gods Among Us, and Sub-Zero in Injustice 2.
