Running for Clean Air is in full swing in Warsaw. We've installed an air quality sensor in one of the city parks, and the first results are available. Our series of events is gradually unfolding, culminating in the Warsaw Marathon 2024 this September.
After the official project launch in March, we started organizing regular training sessions around the sensor and cooperated with local organizations on other events.
The very first training session took place on May 9 in Pole Mokotowskie. We had a group of enthusiastic runners and two elite athletes: Dominika Stelmach and Dariusz Nozynski who lead the warm-up and subsequent 5km run. This was followed by a training session on June 3.
On May 24, we joined Clean Cities Campaign for their air-quality-awareness event Street for Kids with a local school. We had the chance to do some fun sport activities with kids and show that physical activity is important and fun and could become a part of their days through an active commute.

There is an ongoing air quality measurement in one of the Warsaw city parks - Pole Mokotowskie. You can see the current air quality here.
Every month, we publish an environmental report analyzing the air quality data for this location. It highlights trends in temperature, humidity, and concentrations of gaseous and solid pollutants. See below.
Towards the end of the project, we will conduct dynamic monitoring along the marathon route.
