Similarly to other areas, there are several merchants roaming the roads in Toussaint and their appearances may vary each time they are encountered. They sell mostly crafting components, a few alchemy ingredients including alcohol, and animal hides.

Unlike wandering merchants in the base game, most of these won't appear before non-respawning enemies on their routes are cleared, and have more elaborate routes to cover sparsely populated areas. However, whether due to a bug, oversight or intentionally, only one is marked on the map, and only two of them have functional stores, while the rest only respond with generic lines when interacted with.

Plegmund's Bridge[]

This is the only merchant marked with an icon on the map, and the only one immediately available. His route is between Vermentino Vineyard and Coronata Vineyard, turning around at the respective estate's entrance, and during the night rests on the eastern side of the bridge.

Caroberta Woods[]

This is the second merchant who can be traded with, even though he is unmarked. He is also harder to find because of his long route - starting near Hortense Vineyard and ending just outside Lebioda's Gate, but instead of taking the direct road between the two points, he'll make an extremely prolonged trek through a large part of Caroberta Woods.

He starts at the triangular crossroads just north of Hortense Estate, going east and then south along the edges of Tilly Field, until he reaches the Abandoned Coopers' Workshop. From there, the walks north all the way up to Francollarts, where he turns west and walks the path south of Belgaard Vineyard until he finally reaches Lebioda's Gate. He will turn around there, going back almost the same way he came, only shortening the path slightly near Francollarts.

Sansretour Marsh[]

This merchant walks the path between The Cockatrice Inn and Flovive, but doesn't appear before the roadside barghests guarded treasure near the Filament Stream is cleared.

Gorgon Foothills[]

This merchant appears near the Chuchote Cave signpost and travels west through Cutterin Manor, then north, turning east near Patrice Glade, going near Castel Ravello Vineyard and then south to reach the cave again. He doesn't appear before the two abandoned sites on the way are cleared.

The Champs-Désolés[]

This merchant, similarly to the one in Caroberta Woods, has a ridiculously long route, which takes around 12 in-game hours to complete.

He starts his walk at the triangular crossroads between Freinte Docks and Drawbridge, and turns back outside of the map borders, on the end of the road at Delenfer Pass. However, instead of taking the direct path between these two points, he goes north avoiding Casteldaccia and up to the Ardaiso Quarry signpost. Just when you think that's his destination, he continues north around the quarry, through the castle ruins where a beann'shie resides, and then south the rest of the way. With Geralt around, he will panic around the kikimore-infested swamps.

Notes[]

  • There is another NPC labeled "Merchant" at The Cockatrice Inn, with a backpack, looking very much like this is just where he spends the night and should be walking the roads. However, while he isn't always at the inn during the day, he can't be found on any roads in the area. There is some gossip between him a barmaid, speculating that the shaelmaar encountered during What Was This About Again? was to be a mate for the shaelmaar from the Emperor of Nilfgaard.
  • The merchant exiting the map borders at the Delenfer Pass is very intentional, as that is a known trade route and in fact Filibert von Wittan's hanse knowingly preys on merchants going through there.

Bugs[]

  • Wandering merchants are especially prone to the impossible to trade bug.
