Filibert "Fourfingers" von Wittan was the leader of a hanse (a group of bandits) headquartered at Mont Crane Castle.[1] Geralt must fight him to take control of Mont Crane Castle in the secondary quest, Knight for Hire.
Biography[]
Filibert von Wittan, a Knight Errant's son, got his alias after challenging Maximus Macrinus to a duel to the death. His challenge failed, but while his life was spared, he also lost a finger and his honor.
Filibert fled Toussaint during Duke Raymund's reign for unknown reasons, but could never forget the humiliation and later returned to his homeland, plotting revenge on all past foes, but especially Maximus. He established his camp of well-selected bandits at Mont Crane Castle and soon had his revenge.[1][2] His hanse has since been preying on all of The Champs-Désolés, their influence growing.
If Geralt defeated the hanse: Soon after arriving in Toussaint, Geralt of Rivia took on a contract to deal with "Fourfingers" and slew the rogue after a bloodbath at Mont Crane.

- He is named "Cystus von Wittan" in the camerlengo's report on the liquidation of Ernest Scrawler's group. It is unknown if this is an error, or if Filibert is merely a name chosen by the man himself.
