Pinastri was a member of the Flagellants, living in her hermitage near Caed Myrkvid's borders, where she took care of animals, grew her own food and didn't care to have any coin.
She is not marked as a herbalist on the map, but she is one and sells mostly alchemy ingredients. She has the same inventory as generic herbalists in Velen, but with Toussaint pricing and since she doesn't have any crowns, one can't sell anything to her before buying first.
Biography[]
She grew up in a poor village with Marcello Clerici, who was in love with her. Seeing her always feeling down, Marcello concluded that it must be because they were always poor, so he decided to move to Beauclair, taking her with him in hopes that would make her happy. However, it turned out that peasants and nobles are no different and it failed to improve Pinastri's mood and so she went and joined a group of self-floggers, feeling that would help her. She couldn't put up with the brutality for long though, and soon left them to become a herbalist and made a solitary home for herself in Toussaint's countryside.
At one point she had a falling out with Marcello, who had entered a tournament in hopes of winning to prove his love for Pinastri. However, his horse Blaze bucked him off and in his rage over losing, Marcello flogged Blaze to death, causing Pinastri to hate him.
By 1274, Marcello had died, but Pinastri's anger at his actions were so much, it turned Marcello's spirit into an umbra, an invisible specter that fed on Pinastri's blood every night and that could only be stopped by her forgiveness or her death.
If Marcello's spirit is forgiven by Roach: While Pinastri refused to forgive Marcello, even if it meant her death, Roach was asked if they could forgive Marcello in Blaze's place. Roach did so, allowing Marcello to rest in peace and preventing any further attacks on Pinastri.
If Marcello's spirit is not forgiven: Still angry over Marcello's actions that led to Blaze's death, when told she'd have to forgive Marcello to stop the nightmares and torment, Pinastri refused, even if it meant her death. This soon came true when the umbra drank the last of her blood one night.

- A notice called She Cured My Cat in Flovive refers to Pinastri as a druidess with a special connection to animals.
- Strangely, if Pinastri is killed by the umbra and you return to discover that days later, her model's hair is long and curly like Tomira's instead of short-cropped, possibly due to a bug or change in character model during production.
