Marder was a Nilfgaardian bailiff and along with Audegast and Evan Helvet, worked for Peter Evertsen, chief chamberlain of the Imperial Army.[1]
Biography[]
In mid July 1267, while meeting with Evertsen, he along with Audegast, and Helvet, were instructed to begin a campaign to raze Lyria, Rivia and Aedirn. Their task: pillage anything of value for the Empire, and destroy anything left. He and Helvet were made responsible for livestock; gathering them into herds and driving them to designated points for quarantine, checking for rot-foot and other diseases. The sick or suspect specimens were to be slaughtered and their carcasses burned. The ones post-quarantine were to be driven south along designated routes.[1]
