Carolina Roberta (Polish: Karolina) also known as Caroberta (Polish: Karoberta), was a duchess of Toussaint and the grandmother of Anna Henrietta and Sylvia Anna. The Caroberta Woods are named after her, as she known for organizing elaborate games in this forest.[1]

Biography[]

During the reign of Duchess Caroberta, Toussaint was visited by a pilgrim named Saint Plegmund, a disciple of the Prophet Lebioda. His words and deeds – which included miracles – were so persuasive, soon nearly the entire duchy had converted to the new faith. They crowned this outburst of religiosity with the construction of a temple dedicated to the prophet, but that was not enough for Plegmund. He convinced the duchess to build an imposing statue of Lebioda[2] - as well as a bridge would be build on the very spot where he performed one of his miracles.[3]
