Bandura was a warrior who served an unknown genocidal king before moving to Kestrel Mountains during the 13th century.[1]

Biography[]

While serving a king considered by her later to be a "madman" and "loon", she committed many horrific tasks under the guise of orders, blaming him for the remorseful feelings that developed. After escaping his lands, she fled to the Kestrel Mountains and began tutelage of the five stages of a true lament - exordium, laudatio, comploratio, consolatio, exhortatio - under the witches living there, Milda and Zemyna.[1]

After the arrival of the witcher Geralt of Rivia to their mountainous retreat, she felt an incredible urge to fight, defeat, and kill him just to prove her superiority, a feeling that revealed her true thoughts about killing for her previous ruler, and so she stated that she arrived weeks prior as she was feeling an incredible sense of guilt and sorrow for her actions, which extended as far as killing children. This admission was her consolatio, or "consolation" stage, and so she was finally given access to The Eye, a "magical" placebo artifact used to complete the final stage of a lament: exhortatio, or "admonishment", meant to her lament. After several hours with the eye, she came out and stated to be rid of her pain she would need to duel the witcher to the death, and so, after lunging at him, she was stabbed right through her chest with her own sword, as she lay dying thanking Geralt and the two witches as her guilt and anger had subsided finally.[1]
