The Playstation 5 (PS5) is the fifth iteration of Sony's home console line and is considered their ninth generation console, succeeding the PlayStation 4. The system launched in late 2020. The platform's main additions are a built-in SSD and the new controller featuring more advanced haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. The console was later supported with notable accessories the Playstation VR 2 and the Playstation Portal.
