Brain Age is a semi-educational video game franchise made by Nintendo. The first game's pseudo scientific nature helped kickstart the Nintendo DS success in the mainstream market when it released in 2005 in Japan, and a year later in other regions. The games feature a variety of puzzles, including stroop tests, mathematical questions, and Sudoku puzzles, all designed to help keep certain parts of the brain active. As of December 2022, the Brain Age franchise has sold over 35.51 million copies worldwide.
