The teams at Mappin & Webb. and Brompton Bicycle have come together to create two gold-plated Brompton bikes in support and celebration of Team GB’s athletes heading to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The main frame of the bike was gold-plated by our Workshop Team before being carefully assembled by the in-house Brompton specials team. The Brompton x Mappin & Webb Gold bike will be used by Team GB in London and Paris to celebrate the achievements of its athletes & following the games, the bikes will be auctioned to raise money for the British Olympic Foundation and fundraising channels. “This exciting project embodies the spirit of excellence and craftsmanship that unifies these two British brands, and it is wonderful to see it come together to support our athletes on their journey to success,”- Jason Fitzgerald, Retail Director - Mappin & Webb.
