Sad news from Nosebleed Interactive Ltd towers, our summer internships with Ayesha T. and Sameer Ahmed are coming to an end. 🙁 We ask a lot of our interns, they're thrown in at the deep end, but both rose to the occasion marvellously and we've loved working with them! In their 10 weeks with us they've been: fixing long standing and obscure bugs in the (enormous) Arcade Paradise codebase, adding brand new (player requested) features to the VR version of that game, improving and optimising shaders, and leading the R&D on the Unity HDRP pipeline for our future projects. 😅 Both come from the excellent Computer Game Engineering MSc at Newcastle University, so if you're looking for some fresh young talent to add to your team then please get in touch with them or Gordon Bell! We'll be delighted to give them a glowing reference, and hopefully we can work with them again in the future.
About us
Nosebleed Interactive is a fully remote, independent, game developer originally based in Newcastle upon Tyne in the heart of the North East of England. We were founded in 2012, and our talented team has over seven decades of industry experience between us. We've worked on some of the world's biggest selling and most loved franchises, and on numerous award winning games. We've been named as one of the top 50 creative companies in the country by Creative England and, since starting, we've been awarded multiple rounds of funding from the UK Games Fund. In our first year we won the PlayStation Mobile Pioneers competition, and in 2023 we were nominees for MCV’s “Indie Studio of the Year” and “Best Small Studio” awards. At our core, we're all gamers, passionate about playing and making great games and entertainment software. Our focus is on crafting unique, fun and inclusive experiences. We're always striving to exceed expectations with what we do, be that on our own IP such as “Arcade Paradise” (one of Eurogamer’s best games of 2022) or the work we do with our co-development partners.

Andreas Firnigl and Gordon Bell will both be at Develop:Brighton next week on the Tues, Wed, and Thurs. They're keeping it a bit more casual this year so grab them if you'd like a chat, or DM Gordon to set up something more official! No comedy picture this year, they're both swanning about on holiday to get their tans ready for Brighton beach. Feel free to use your imagination 😅

Almost every morning, since late 2023, our amazing artist Jordan Quinn has done a 'doodle' on a Post-It note before our morning stand-up, often themed around the day of the week. Last week he took some of his favourites and lacquered them onto a skateboard so we can hang it in our office ❤️
