It was a pleasure to have PXC come along and support our charity, as well as having the opportunity to demonstrate some our work, showing how games can be made accessible and how gaming can be used to improve the quality of life for so many people with such diverse abilities.
Yesterday’s event was definitely a career highlight for me as I joined my colleagues from the PXC Change team at the Everyone Can gaming centre for our Give Something Back day. I've been volunteering at Everyone Can for the past seven months. In that time I’ve been able to see firsthand the impact this charity has on individuals and their families. For those unfamiliar, Everyone Can offers free gaming sessions and assistive technology assessments to disabled individuals, all at no cost. Our day began with a session where we learned about the charity’s services, saw demonstrations from Andrew Bromilow & David Eley on their assistive technologies, and enjoyed a team building gaming session. Did you know you can play golf with just eye movement? And Minecraft using your feet?! The afternoon was spent giving back through a deep clean of the centre. By the end of the day, the place was spotless, and I couldn’t have been prouder of the team’s efforts! A huge thank you to everyone who came along and made the day great. The enthusiasm and dedication was everything! I am still buzzing, I had an incredible time. I look forward to spending more time with my team, and fundraising for this wonderful cause. If anyone is interested in booking the centre for a corporate team-building session like ours, please send me a direct message. #EveryoneCanGame #PXC #GiveSomethingBack #TeamBuilding
