    • A young woman with long, vibrant orange hair is smiling widely at the camera. She is wearing green-framed glasses, a green knitted headscarf with a black and white pattern, and a sleeveless green textured top. She has large, green and white circular earrings. In the background, there is a colorful, circular wall hanging with intricate patterns, a yellow cabinet with various stickers and a small Brazilian flag, and a plant with large green leaves on top of the cabinet.

We need to talk about AI in recruitment ❗📢 But we need to start being honest. I've receive lots and lots of messages from job hunters incredibly worried about AI software and how it affects their chances. I think we all need to sit down, candidates and companies, to really look at AI for what it is. ➡️ I've wrote the article below which hopefully answers way more questions than it raises, but in case it doesn't, feel free to comment below! But if you can't live without a Too Long Didn't Read, here you go: •AI is only used for tasks like resume parsing, candidate matching, candidate sourcing, automated communication, interview scheduling, data enrichment and workflow automation, but most providers don't offer them all. •Most companies don't use the above features as it requires very clean and populated CRM data to actually produce anything usable. •If a company does use the features above, formatting your CV appropriately isn't any different from what the best practice says the format should be anyway. •Companies, you don't need AI features, you need a fully equipped, well paid and motivated recruiter (or recruitment team) to do the most important part of your business: building your workforce. Contents: ➡️ How is AI currently being used within recruitment software's and platforms. ➡️ Why companies should move away from AI in recruitment. ➡️ Real Best Practices for every CV, weather or not it gets parsed by AI. --- 📣 Follow #RethinkRecruitment and ring the 🔔 to read about: 📙 #GameDev Recruitment Best Practices 🔎 #JobHunting#CareerAdvice & #RecruiterTips 👁️ Bird's Eye View & the #ELSHhttps://entrylevel.games/ 🌟 Opinions are very much my own™️

🤯 So this happened? I WAS NOT ready to see my name along those brilliant people! I've been shortlisted for Diversity Star at the Develop:Brighton Star Awards! And I don't even know where to start??? ➡️ The industry has broken my heart more times than I can count in the past 6 months (year really), and I would be lying if I said this hasn't affected my mental health. Recruiters & Talent Acquisition are in the front line when it comes to layoffs and hiring. We hear people's stories, we connect, and then we have to inform them of decisions we have no power over. It hasn't been a fun job lately. ⚓ What has been giving me strength is all the little things I do to make this industry a tiny bit less gatekept to groups that have been HISTORICALLY under recognised. I live by Desmond Tutu quotes, (especially considering the state of the world atm) and this is the one that underlines all of my work: ✨Do your little bit of good where you are; it’s those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.✨ ✍️This is why I write content even if no one sees it 👥 This is why I worked my heart out during the kickstart scheme 📝This is why I put together a report reviewing hiring practices in game dev 🛠️This is why I created the Entry Level Skills Hub 🌍This is why I founded Bird's Eye View ➡️ I don't do it for the awards, but this one got me crying today. So if I may ask you for just one more thing, please check out the nominees and cast your vote! You have until the 31st of May. THANK YOU! Ps.: You must be registered to attend Develop Brighton this year, or have attended in the past 3 years to vote. Find a link on your inbox.
