61ST STREET (The CW)
Last aired: Season 1 aired on AMC April 10 through May 29, 2022. Season 2 was scrapped at AMC before it could air, as part of a cost-cutting measure (and despite the fact that all episodes had already been filmed). The CW then swooped in to offer Season 2 a home.
Current status: The CW originally planned to air both seasons back-to-back on Mondays last fall — but when the Hollywood strikes hit, 61st Street (among other programs) got bumped from the schedule. TVLine is hearing that a summer 2024 timetable has now been penciled in.
UPDATE: Season 2 will premiere July 22 on The CW.
CBS, where is Lingo?
Answered in last week’s Inside Line: https://tvline.com/t/matts-inside-line/
While the only one I care about is Hacks always remember there is hope if the show is good. The Night Manager – 8 years and Happy Valley – 7 years!
I haven’t seen anything about when Accused is coming back even though it was renewed. Is it being held until fall like Lone Star?

Matt – what about the new season of the long-awaited TEHRAN???? When last we spoke by email a number of months ago, it seemed like it was soon to be released. Thank you so much!
Hey guys. Do you have any news about Departure? Thanks
The third and final season of Departure aired last September in Canada. No idea if it has or will air in US.
Last I checked with the studio that makes it, zero talk of U.S. home. –Mgmt.
If they want to figure out a way to age up Ben Platt, maybe just hire the hair and make-up team from the film adaptation of Dear Evan Hansen?

Oh dip! He turns 31 this year, so if they really want to shoot a season around his character being the youngest to ever run for President, they don’t have to wait very long for him to really look the part. I’m more worried about Netflix no longer wanting to produce it since Murphy has moved over to ABC.
If you’re going to include Severance, why not also include Squid Game, which was renewed around the same time but still does not seem to have a confirmed renew date. Two other shows renewed back in 2022 and still without a confirmed return date that I can see are Handmaid’s Tale and Yellowjackets.
And I would add two shows that were both renewed over a year ago in early 2023 which do not seem to have a set return date:
The Mole – renewed February 2023
You – renewed March 2023
These are all pretty high-profile shows, and I find in strange that a year or more after formal renewal, none has a definitive return date.
Holy cow, I forgot The Mole came back. I was going to watch it and then The Traitors showed up and filled the reality competition hole in my heart.
Guess there’s still time!
Since the original publication of this article, the Mole now has a return date of Junw 28, 2024.
How about The Chase. Will it come back this summer?
I really liked Freevee’s High School. I’m a long time fan of Tegan and Sara. I wish there was some definite news about the series.
What about Poker Face?
Master of None needs to be led by Aziz Ansari if they come back for another season, because the 3rd season was awful.
The A Word: Is there going to be a season 4? It’s a great show!
Also, I’m really hoping for another season The Orville.
What about Paradise City Season 2?
I still have fingers crossed for Class of 07.
Will they bring back Barmageddon on USA Network?
If the rule is that shows that haven’t aired in nine months or more with no word on renewal should be included – then I would add The Resort to the list. I’m pretty sure it’s well over a year and a half since that one aired, and I have heard nothing either way about a possible renewal.
School of Chocolate (Netflix)?
Almost Paradise or Leverage: Redemption?
Leverage: Redemption has been renewed. Haven’t heard anything about Almost Paradise.
Anything a word about Dexter: New Blood – Season 2… ? And Dexter: Origins?
It’s been a lot more than nine months for SHE-HULK, but still no word from Disney+.

Thanks!
Oye Disney, where’s that Zorro TV Series you were supposed to make with Wilmer Valderrama a while back? Bob Iger said no?
Making the Cut?
Thank you for including The Nevers. The show is getting more and more fans late to the party… and so, more and more pissed fans who are desperate to find season 1 part 2 somewhere. (cross a lot ot them on X). Hope someone at WB will take the time to make the right moves regarding the show status. People are not asking for a season 2 or a tv movie (even if it would be terrific !!!!) but at least to release what’s available, elsewhere than on a live channel only available in the US that nobody watches.. WB has a bad habit of doing stuff and not releasing it,
It’s a vey Whedon phenomenon! Firefly was only 15 episodes and the show made more money after its cancellation! It’s the kind of show that slowly becomes cult classics! WB is gonna regret the write off for taxes purposes!!!
The Zoo on Animal Planet?
Around the World in 80 Days on PBS starring David Tennant?
Great Chocolate Showdown on CW?
Feel free to ask the InsideLine@tvline.com column, but those aren’t the types of shows this TVLine feature covers.
It always baffles me how streaming networks take SO long to get additional seasons out while being only 8-10 episodes and broadcast can pump them out in a matter of months and do 18-20. Some of these that were out last year feel like forever ago and i had totall forgot about them. I feel like that’s a big downfall of streaming shows is waitng 2 years in between short seasons.
YES! Snowpiercer and Lady Parts!!! For fans of these show (like myself) I am beyond thrilled!
I always looked forward to Holey Moley. A goofy, one hour, weekly escape from day to day life. Bring it back!!
Love Holey Moley!! Am hopeful that it will come back!! Looked forward to it every week!!
