Will Moseley (Rounds 1 & 2)
ROUND 1: Will began the finale with confidence, performing Bon Jovi’s “It’s My Life,” a song he chose the second he found out that the artist would be mentoring the Top 3. It was the perfect choice for a finale song, a powerful declaration of where Will stands after fighting to make it this far in the competition. He had a big ol’ smile plastered on his face the whole time, and he even managed to work in a few rock moves throughout the performance.
TVLINE’S GRADE: “A”
ROUND 2: He returned in the second round with Montgomery Gentry’s “My Town,” a song that genuinely sounded like it could have been written by Will himself. (We know that’s an overused phrase on this show, but it was true this time!) A small-town hero with big-time talent, Will really won us over with this performance; his musicianship has always been undeniable, but his homecoming segment peeled back the curtain and exposed his playful side.
TVLINE’S GRADE: “A”
America got first place right, they just switched second and third.

I love how they include all the Idol people with the guest stars.

They really should of had a night with each singer singing a song they wrote.
Great Season of American Idol — I think we will see many of the again. Sad it is over.
I really liked Jack Blocker better than Will Mosley, but I’m so happy for Abi, who is not only a great singer, but a musician and songwriter, as well. Another thing in her favor for me was the fact that men usually win because women vote more than men, I’m guessing, and usually for the opposite sex.
Very happy Abby won, I voted for her. The duet between Seal and Jayna Elise proved Jayna Elise should have gone much further in the competition than she did though. She has an amazing voice. Hope the exposure gives her a shot at success. Great season overall but I wish they had added a couple more episodes in there and didn’t eliminate so many some weeks. I will miss Katy, looking forward to next year. Wonder if Fantasia might take Katy’s seat.

They did Jack wrong by not having him play his original song. I am over Disney and the producers of this show.
I didn’t bother watching the last 5? weeks. Recaps with videos were sufficient.

American Idol has, and should be, someone you would hear on the radio or see in concert. Abi’s voice is beautiful, but I don’t see her performing in concert or making radio hits. Every song she sang last night made me feel she would be more suited for Disney. I can, definitely, see Will performing live and hearing him on the radio. I wouldn’t be surprised if he wins CMT’s Best New Artist award next year. I feel Will should have been named 2024’s American Idol.

I felt Abby should have been the winner from the first day. She was on the show. Every time she performed, it was exquisite. Jack was an interesting character with a phenomenal voice. He should have come in second and will third.
The ending was certainly entertaining. I believe Jack should have won, but we will have to wait and see who comes out of this season with a more successful career.
We didn’t get to hear the song written by Jack. I waited to vote and suddenly he was gone. I think he got a raw deal by changing the way you changed things. I am very disappointed I didn’t get to vote.
Abi definitely stepped up each time she performed. Her voice definitely projecting ample emotions with each performance. Seeing her grow each week with the exceptional performances I thank her for. I enjoy and look forward to anytime hearing her perform. Pure perfection.

I couldn’t agree more! American Idol does this every year as if they steal votes. Typical voice with yelling rather than having any character or unigueness. The other females way better voices, And the last 3 standing, the one to bring it home was Jack and then Wil. Dissapointing again.
Abi started out as an indie singer-songwriter type. She won “American Idol” by turning into a glam diva, belting out huge, famous ballads — which is fine, if that’s what she really wants. Still, I hope she gets the career that’s right for her, and doesn’t find herself performing on huge stages, singing big, bombastic songs with costume changes in between each one, wondering how she turned into a cross between Celine Dion and Katy Perry.
When Jon Bon Jovi asked Abi where she saw herself in five years, she said she wanted to go more indie, a little darker. I was glad to hear that, because I always got the feeling throughout the season that she was like an old-time demo artist, who could competently sing any song, any style.

I wouldn’t America doesn’t agree. I think the course of their careers will be the ultimate judge of America’s opinion. Personally, I don’t think Abi will outsell either Will or Jack.
Don’t really care for her —the ending looked a bit pagentry to me, she acted like she just won—Miss America –sorry girl — wrong competition — and she sang off key– for her ending — just tweenies bringing the game to the WRONG CONCLUSION!!!!!
Sang off key when she was crying? Grow up. Abi won because she was the best.
She’ll be quickly forgotten, like most of the winners of this show in the past 10 years or so. She could probably get a job at a Disney park though.
The judges/show, and her family got her sympathy votes. Not taking anything away from her talent and sweet demeanor. How Luke let the crowd go on and on after her performances, but didn’t encourage the same for the the other two. Her family’s attire also was a tactic for votes. I don’t doubt her family history, but I believe this was a ploy for votes. Abi is a good singer and will go far in the music world.
The crowd was pro-Abi because she was a local. The folds from Indio could easily make the short drive to the studio for the show, while friends and fans of Jack and Will would have had to cross the country.

I am very happy with the results of the 2024 American Idol. Abi Carter deserved to win, not saying the two others were not good. Congratulations to Abi and American Idol for another year of success.
I’ve watched American Idol for decades and this truly was the weakest talent year. I was most impressed with Will Moseley’s voice–I don’t even lean towards country music, but wow! Will can sing anything effortlessly. I do feel America got it wrong not voting him the 2024 Idol, but it doesn’t matter that he came in 2nd, his career is already in the making and he is a superstar already, as Luke Bryan stated in his final comments to him. As for Abi? She has a good voice, but cannot sing everything. I feel she got as far as she did because of her family story. The sympathy vote brought her to the finish line.

Will should have won. I felt the whole show was rigged to not favor Will, even though he had the best voice. Will will do better career wise than Abi.

No they got it wrong Will should have won Jack I think his ugly mouth formaton did him in he looked like he was in pain every time he performed The girl was from California bigger place that is why she won did nothing for me
America missed out on this one again. Abi was ok. Missing the full package. Looked uncomfortable on stage compared to the others. Hiding behind the piano does not make the best singer so she did start to move around some.
Missing the power voice but still did a fine job. Best in show was Moe Mosley and had the people voting knew music they would have seen how comfortable he was on stage and could perform any song with comfort and ease. Power voice and a demanding presence is what you need from an American Idol.
Watch, Moe will rise, and Abi will sink.

You clearly were not watching Idol at all. Abi was not the one looking uncomfortable behind the piano, that was Emmy Russell. Good singer but didn’t have stage presence. Abi did not hide behind the piano. Abi has a power voice, did you not see her performance of Bring Me Back To Life? Who is Moe Moselely? I know who Will Moseley is, but no clue who Moe is. Abi will go far with her endorsement from Amy Lee and Billie Eilish.

Abi was the obvious winner, she has a great voice. Will was meh,,and Jack was just below par. Its hard to believe out of all the contestants Will and Jack made it to where they did, the bar is being set lower and lower. Sad
I also thought Jack should have won.
