Misty Goh

Misty Goh from Singapore and currently based in New York City. She is responsible for documentary, short-subject and podcast sales and acquisitions at Terry Steiner International, working closely with ancillary, non-theatrical markets. A graduate of the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU, her work experience also includes reporting into the international sales departments of Magnolia Pictures and Participant Media.

Christie Marchese

Christie Marchese

Christie Marchese is the founder and CEO of Kinema, the global film distribution and exhibition platform that leverages the power of community and social interaction to screen and stream films, opening up new opportunities to reach audiences and maximize revenue. Marchese has won several industry recognitions, including being named one of Fortune’s Rising Founders in 2023 and Fast Company’s Most Creative People in 2021.

Madeleine Schumacher

Madeleine Schumacher serves as the Director of Distribution at Giant Pictures, where she oversees acquisitions and content management of over 50 films and documentaries per year across three distribution labels: Giant Pictures, Drafthouse Films and Tribeca Films. Madeleine has also produced several independent films including the Shudder Original “The Last Thing Mary Saw,” starring Stefanie Scott and Isabelle Fuhrman which launched on the platform in 2022. Madeleine participates in frequent mentor sessions and guest conversations at Brooklyn College and her alma mater NYU Tisch School of the Arts.

Benjamin Weissner (Moderator)

Benjamin Wiessner is a producer and VP of Sales & Distribution at Vanishing Angle. He was named to Filmmaker Magazine’s 25 New Faces of Indie Film in 2012 as part of ornana films, where he began producing and distributing shorts and features with partners across the world. He has produced short films in both hand-drawn animation and live action, with awards at festivals including SxSw and Sundance. He has also worked on numerous features with premieres at Sundance, Berlinale, SXSW, Cannes, and Tribeca, including producing and self-distributing THUNDER ROAD (SxSw 2018 Grand Jury Prize). He consults, mentors, and consoles numerous early career filmmakers. Raised by educators, he frequently speaks about filmmaking, distribution, and film marketing at film schools, festivals, and conferences from Cannes to Kazakhstan. In 2018, he co-founded the Short to Feature Filmmaking Lab and in 2020 he helped launch the Vanishing Angle Post Grant for short filmmakers.

The Rush system functions as a standby line that will form at the venue approximately one hour prior to scheduled start time. Admittance is based on availability and will begin roughly 10 minutes prior to program start time. Rush Tickets are the same price as advance tickets and are payable upon entry.
