The 2024 Tribeca Creators Market

Tribeca Creators Market, in partnership with Indeed, a leading global matching and hiring platform, features a highly curated selection of creators pitching new feature, episodic and audio projects to an array of companies and influential industry leaders. A pillar of Tribeca’s commitment to supporting storytellers in all stages of their careers, the Creators Market puts a strong emphasis on diversity and forms of storytelling, providing industry with a group of fresh and provocative voices.

On Monday, June 10th, the Creators Market will kick off with a Works in Progress showcase, offering a group of eight Market storytellers the opportunity to present a ‘sneak-peek’ of their forthcoming feature or episodic project to an audience of accredited industry professionals. Please note: the WIP Showcase is exclusively for accredited industry representatives. The 2024 Creators Market pitch meetings will take place in person on Tuesday, June 11th at The Indeed Theater at Spring Studios and virtually on Wednesday, June 12th.

In conjunction with the Creators Market, Tribeca will also host a pilot edition of The Circle, a new exclusive industry program that aims to support top future digital and immersive talent through a collective effort and a group engagement of Tribeca’s most valuable associates: Accenture Song, ArtScience Museum Singapore, Cosm, EY Metaverse Labs, Google, Meta, MIT Open Documentary Lab, ONX Onassis Studio, PHI Center, Runway, ZeroSpace.

Ugo Arsac
Immersive Project

Ugo Arsac is a digital and visual artist based in Marseille. Combining urban and human, mythology and anthropology, he works in many mediums. He was a resident at the Villa Albertine and was an official selection of SXSW. He is once again a prize-winner on Chroniques Création.

Emeline Courcier
Immersive Project

As a photographer and video artist, Emeline Courcier’s works are entry points into her personal and collective memory of her family. Inspired by their experience of the Indo-China war, resettlement in France, and their suffering and resilience, she is the inheritor of their history and the medium of their memory.

Maya Cueva, Daniel Tantalean, Melanie Miller, & Diane Becker
Documentary Feature

Maya Cueva is an award-winning director and producer. Her feature film, On the Divide, premiered at Tribeca Film Festival in 2021 and broadcasted on PBS in Spring 2022.
Daniel Tantalean is a Sundance Grand Jury Prize-winning producer for In the Summers with work featured on The New Yorker. Daniel is a Film Independent Lab, NALIP Latino Media Market Fellow, and was shortlisted for the 2021 AT&T Untold Stories Competition.
Melanie Miller is an Oscar-winning producer known for timely, diverse documentaries with Fishbowl Films. Notable works include the award-winning Navalny, On the Divide, and Inventing Tomorrow. Melanie is a member of the DPA, PGA, ATAS, and AMPAS.
Diane Becker is an Oscar-winning producer and co-founder of Fishbowl Films. Her acclaimed documentaries, including the award-winning Navalny, tackle important issues and have been screened at top festivals. She is a member of the PGA, DPA, Television Academy, and AMPAS.

Danielle Dardashti & Galeet Dardashti
Audio Project/Film Adaptation

Danielle is an Emmy award-winning documentary writer/producer, a former TV news reporter, and a Moth storySLAM champion. She helps companies tell stories with film and audio, and leads corporate storytelling workshops.
Galeet is a vocalist/composer and anthropologist studying Sephardi/Mizrahi Jews. In her new award-winning album, Monaiat, she duets with samples of her famed Iranian grandfather. She's currently a Fellow at UPenn.

Oliver Edwin & Lizzie Shapiro

Oliver Edwin is an Australian actor, writer, and director whose credits include a long list of Australian television, as well as roles in Rob Reiner's LBJ and HBO's Divorce.
Lizzie Shapiro is a New York producer who recently received the SXSW Janet Pierson Champion Award and the 2022 Independent Spirit Producing Award. She also notably won the Cassavetes Award for Emma Seligman's Shiva Baby.

Narrative Series

Lamin Leroy Gibba's award-winning short film Dogfriend, which he co-produced, wrote, and starred in, received critical acclaim and was screened globally. Black Fruit is the showrunner's forthcoming series.
Olivia Kpalété is a fiction producer who has gained extensive experience throughout the film industry by working for the German Film Institute and several German broadcasters such as ARD and ZDF.

Her work in film can be found on Amazon and Hulu, her writing in Sundog Lit, and her commercial production career through ByAssociation, where she serves as an Executive Producer and leads the film and television department.
Carly Hoogendyk is an LA-based talent manager and producer at Omnipop. She has established herself as a leading voice in identifying rising comedy talent as the editor of the Cramer Comedy Newsletter, an industry digest highlighting emerging work across live, digital, film, and animation.

Lauren Minnerath is a screenwriter and director currently developing projects at New Line Cinema, Shivhans Pictures, and Fifth Season. The proof of concept short for her feature, Clare, premiered in competition at SXSW in 2022.
Julia Kennelly’s producing credits include The Neighbors’ Window (Academy Award winner: Best Live Action Short). Films she produced have played Sundance, SXSW, and Tribeca. Julia is a 2023 Sundance Producing Lab Fellow.

Rory O’Neill Schmitt is a writer/producer who has collaborated with Barret O’Brien on multiple film projects. She served as an executive producer for The Long, Long Night (Duplass Brothers Productions), which was shown at Tribeca Festival (2023) and SXSW (2024).

Urvashi Pathania (she/her) is a writer/director based in Brooklyn. Her films explore gender, sexuality, and cultural bereavement. Urvashi was selected for the 2024 Sundance Screenwriters Lab with her feature Skin.
Liz Lian is a producer and filmmaker based in Los Angeles. She is a 2023 Sundance Producing Fellow and branded content producer. Previously, Liz was a writer and creative producer at Vox Media, where she wrote and produced a documentary short on the practice of yellowface makeup for Netflix.

Olivia AbiAssi (EP/Writer/Lead) is a Lebanese-American writer and actress. She has appeared Off-Broadway and in the series Rock Me and film Nora. Olivia recently worked within production for HBO's Love and Death.
Emily Cohn (Director) is a Brooklyn-based writer, director, and 1st AD. CRSHD, Emily’s debut feature, premiered at Tribeca, and the New York Times called her “a filmmaker to have on your radar.”
