Shiva Statue

Shiva statues are enemies that appear in Tomb Raider III: Adventures of Lara Croft. They are similar to the Xian Warriors in Tomb Raider II. First, they are statues and then they become a living thing.

Tactics[]

If Lara attempts to shoot at the creature it will block her offense by raising its blades. To counter this, Lara must cease firing and face in a different direction. This will incite the enemy to lower its scimitars and continue chasing Lara. To defeat it, Lara must continually avoid the enemy and shoot at it when it is chasing her.

Trivia[]

Despite being considered a statue of Shiva, its resemblance is closer to that of his wife, the goddess Kali. This can be seen in the number of her arms, since Shiva usually has four at most. In addition, the crown that Kali wears is usually large, while Shiva's is usually small or absent at all.

The Shiva statues were originally textured in a very different color. Unlike the intimidating final version, this model was much brighter as it was made up of red, blue and gold.
