The Scavenger is a minor antagonist in Tomb Raider. He was a survivor on the Yamatai island.
Background[]
Stranded on Yamatai[]
Though little is known about the Scavenger much as his early life and past, except that he was stranded on the Yamatai and somehow manage to avoid capture from Father Mathias and his men for years. He found an abandoned cove and made it his own shelter. He's also been capturing people and wrapping them in a "cocoon" before brutally torturing them for an unknown reason.
Arrival of the Endurance[]
After the shipwreck of the Endurance, the Scavenger suddenly sneaks up behind Lara Croft then forcibly knocks her unconscious. Sometime later, he brings Lara straight to his den where he than hangs her up in a cocoon-like bag. When the Scavenger discovered Lara's escape, he chases after her and grabbed a hold of Lara just as she began exiting through a nearby tunnel, but fortunately though they were soon separated from each other by a close collapse.
Death[]
When Lara hurries to escape the den while it starts collapsing from the inside. The Scavenger appears once again and grabs her by the leg. Soon as she manages to break free from the Scavenger's grasp, he is then immediately crushed at an instant by a fallen rock, killing him upon the impact.
