Rahu is a serpent-deity in Hindu tradition. In Hindu lore, Rahu is a severed head of an asura that swallows the sun causing eclipses.
Biography[]
Lara Croft first learned of Rahu's involvement when Carter Bell left behind Rahu's Peal relic in Jungle Temple. After Carter left behind numerous relics, Lara realized that it is Rahu who is behind Carter's disappearance, although not directly. Rahu was real and not merely a myth and legend and Carter tried to stop him.
Rahu's trail lead to Sahara desert, where his power revived the animated golems, who then started digging relics for Rahu. Rabisu Scroll revealed that these artifacts are from ancient heroes working against the serpent Rahu, and if those artifacts are brought together they might be able to contain Rahu somehow.
Rahu moved on to Himalayas where his power gave rise to the Yetis and the Oni, and the Oni joined forces with Rahu. When Lara blew the Gyaling Horn some of Rahu's minions escaped.
Ceremonial Scepter is an artifact that Rahu fears the most, and only the most fearsome minions dared to get it from Lara. In the end Lara managed to contain Rahu and the Oni.
