Porvenir is an oil company from Lima. They came to Kuwaq Yaku and started to drill for oil, they even have a giant refinery in the Porvenir Oil Fields. In their work Porvenir was not very considerate of the nature, and contaminated the water supply. Abigaile Ortiz fought against them and they retaliated with threats of legal action. Porvenir basically bought the town and gave everyone jobs, and they planned on building condominiums near the river. The company also made toy mementos to sell. The operation in Kuwaq Yaku was shutdown with the oil crash.
