New Guinea is an island in Pacific Ocean. The island is shared by two countries, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.
History[]
Lara Croft was heading to Southern New Guinea to search for a lost temple, but on their way there, the plane piloted by Raoul crashed in the Zone of Death. Raoul died, and Lara buried him near the plane. Soon after Lara was attacked by a sentient fireball. To Lara's surprise Chase Carver came to her help, which should be impossible as Chase had died in her arms earlier. Lara eventually escapes the spirit by swimming across the shore, where this Chase reveals himself to be a shapeshifting counter force to the malevolent spirit. Lara says goodbye to her friend and leaves.[1]
