Medusa Mask is an artifact in Tomb Raider: The Series comic.
History[]
Medusa Mask is believed to be the mask made of gold and infused with magic which Medusa wore. The mask is told to give the wearer awesome powers like the gaze of death.[1]
According to Paris D'Arseine, the last known location for the mask was in 1505 on a Spanish galleon which sank before it could reach its destination.[1]
Lara Croft and Chase Carver found the Medusa Mask in the mountains of Tibet in an underground cave, filled with flames. There Hartford Compton revealed himself to be alive and grabbed the Mask from Lara, once she had retrieved it. Hartford put the mask on, which gave him powers, but it was revealed that it sapped his life too when Lara shot the mask off of him he died without it. Lara and Chase then escaped with the mask and gave to Paris D'Arseine as requested in-change for a music box. While flying away Paris also donned the mask, and it blew up the plane over the sea. Since the mask was made of gold it can be guessed to have survived the explosion, but sank to the bottom of the sea. [2]
