Karima Adebibe was born on 14 February 1985 and is an English actress and fashion model, she was selected on her birthday 14 February 2006 to become the next model for Lara Croft from the popular Tomb Raider video game series. She retired from the role in 2008 besides being Lara Croft she has had a minor role in the 2004 science fiction film Alien vs. Predator as a sacrificial maiden. She also appeared in the 2009 film Frontier Blues
