Giza

Giza is the second-largest city in Egypt after Cairo home to the famous Pyramids of Giza.

Lara Croft entered Giza to find a way to trap Set. Lara visits the Giza pyramid complex starting with the Sphinx. She finds a secret tunnel between Sphinx's feet that leads her to the hidden Holy Scriptures. Lara then searches for the four shaft keys in the surrounding area: she finds one inside the Menkaure's Pyramid, two in the mastabas and one in Khufu's Queen's Pyramid. She then moves on to the Great Pyramid, where the shaft keys reveal a hidden path to the Temple of Horus where the Armour of Horus can be used to trap Set. While escaping the collapsing paths, Lara was buried alive in the rubble. She was presumed dead by her friends.

Werner Von Croy later searches any trace of Lara, and manages to find her backpack, but not her. This confirmed she was alive for Von Croy, seeing how she was wearing her backpack when she was buried alive.
