Beowulf is a legendary Geatish hero in the epic poem named after him, one of the oldest surviving pieces of literature in the English language.

Beowulf was a guardian to King Heort. There was even a statue erected for Beowulf inside King Heort's tomb in Sweden. When a battle axe is returned to his statue and placed in its hands, a door will open deeper into the tomb.[1]
