Uneccessary Desktop icons achievements[]

do they realy need thedekstp icon on each achievment if its above the drop down Cloud Miner (talk) 18:12, 18 April 2019 (UTC)

That's something we can't seem to fix, as it's a limitation of the template that's used to show achievements, i think. All the lists suffer from that issue. -- Murrayzero (talk) 20:46, 18 April 2019 (UTC)

  • Eater of Worlds/Brain of Cthulhu[]

It seems like only one of them is required for the "Slayer of Worlds" achievement, and killing the second one won't give you any progress. With my new character, using an alternate world, I've killed EoC, EoW, BoC and Skeletron, yet it only counts me 3 bosses. Could somebody confirm this? --Morenohijazo (talk) 15:47, 14 July 2015 (UTC)

Well I've never defeated Brain of Cluthu (after addition of achievenemts) and still haven't defeated Lunatic Cultist and Moon Lord; my boss count on achievements page is 12/14 + there are 15 bosses, not including event-obly ones, so I'd say it is true - Edge1337 (talk) 13:19, 26 July 2015 (UTC)

So the BoC and EoW are from different worlds because one world can only be curuption (EoW) and one world crimson (BoC )72.95.9.240 22:05, 10 June 2021 (UTC)

    Gelatin World Tour[]

i have tried to get this Spiked Ice Slime to spawn, underground and cavern level, both without success. have anybody got the 24 slime achievement? any tips? 188.67.234.160 17:42, 10 September 2015 (UTC) If you’re in Hardmode they don’t spawn so it would be impossible. 72.95.9.240 22:09, 10 June 2021 (UTC)

    Real Estate Agent[]

Seems to go on the total number of NPCs, rather than checking that each one is present. For example, with a mod that adds additional NPCs, some vanilla ones could be absent while still allowing for the achievement. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zsashas (talkcontribs) at 23:44, 1 February 2016 (UTC)

    Refrence to movie[]

Has anyone noticed the Star Destroyer achievement is an reference to the Imperial Star Destroyer in the movie Star Wars? 58.33.91.15 03:00, 1 April 2016 (UTC)

    Refrence to Star Wars[]

Is it true that the Star destroyer achievement is a refrence to the Star Destroyer in Star wars? 199.244.112.226 07:09, 14 June 2016 (UTC)

Yes I think so, because 'Star Destroyer' achievement look like a reference to the Star Destroyer in Star wars. But maybe? Also I seen another IP having the same question like you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by IosKent (talkcontribs) at 08:39, 14 June 2016 (UTC)
Seems like a bit of a stretch to me honestly. Better to keep speculation off of the pages.Chrisf1020 (talk) 13:35, 14 June 2016 (UTC)

Android achievement "Collector" (AKA Knight in Shining Armors)[]

First, I don't know about the IOS version, but at the very least the latest Android version lists this achievement as "Collector" instead of "A Knight in Shining Armors". Should I just rename it or wait for someone else's feedback?

And second, it is stated that you need to equip the armors in your armor slot for them to register. This is not true at all; I got the achievement just by having the complete sets on my inventory without needing to equip them. However, it appears the armor collecting progress does not save between sessions (or it is buggy), since when I finally got all required armors the cheevo did not trigger until I got all of the armors on my inventory on the same session. Kojirremer (talk) 02:29, 16 March 2018 (UTC)

    Supreme Helper Minion Reference[]

The achievement “Supreme Helper Minion” is a refrence to Cl4p tp from the “Borderlands” game series. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.56.115.61 at 23:50, 23 June 2018

    Crafty[]

To complete the achievement "Crafty" (use every crafting station), do i need to do things like use all the workbenches and both hardmode forges? IndigoGolum (talk) 21:32, 12 September 2018 (UTC)

But what about the Wii U edition?[]

If someone can make a new category I can list all of the Wii U achievements because I am on the Wii U edition. Or do the Wii U achievements tie in with another version? If so it is not listed and I want to add it. Theextroardinary (talk) 16:51, 6 March 2019 (UTC)

Thank you for bringing this up. Since there are very few editors who play on the Wii U, any help with properly documenting all of this version's exclusive/changed content is greatly appreciated. In my opinion, it might be the best solution if you could list all of the achievements here, in this thread, and we can check whether they overlap with another version. By the way, please refrain from using utterly improper capitalization without apparent reason. You are free to style your posts and express your personality and creativity, but not if this leads to the text being illegible. --Rye Greenwood (talk) 18:09, 6 March 2019 (UTC)
ok I will add the complete list of achievements on this talk page (in normal text) and also the description when I have time later. Give me about 3 or 4 hours. Theextroardinary (talk) 18:31, 6 March 2019 (UTC)

Ok so I looked at the achievements and there is only on difference from the PS ones. The one with “trophy” in it, is replaced with accomplishment. I don’t exactly know the names of all of them because I don’t have all of them. I did not do a full comparison but it has the same amount, and same ranks (plat, gold, silver, bronze). I will list them all in the following comment Theextroardinary (talk) 21:47, 6 March 2019 (UTC) Theextroardinary (talk) 21:47, 6 March 2019 (UTC)

(Bronze): Terraria Expert - You have completed the tutorial! Terraria Student - You have begun the tutorial! Home Sweet Home - The Guide has moved in! (???? Locked but probably all in the family) - Every NPC has moved in! Rock Bottom - You have reached the bottom of the World! (the W is capitalized) Silver: ??? - You have defeated every boss! ??? - You have killed every type of slime! Gold: Challenge Accepted - You have unlocked Hard Mode! Silver: ??? - You have the maximum health and mana ??? - Your World is Corrupt! ??? - Your World is Hallowed! ??? - You have defeated The Twins! ??? - You have defeated The Destroyer! Bronze: Marathon Runner - You have traveled over 42km on the ground! Landscaper - You have removed more than 10,000 blocks! Crowd Control - You have defeated The Goblin Army! Survivor - You survived the first night! (From here not all of them end in “!”) Icarus - Reach the top of the world. Vanity of Vanities - Wear a full set of vanity clothes. Silver: ??? - Find ALL the pets. Bronze: Be Prepared - Activate 5 buffs at the same time Airtime! - Enjoy the view. Silver: ??? - Craft 300 items at an anvil. ??? - You have smelted 10,000 bars of metal! ??? - You have obtained every type of armor. (I’m on U.S. English I’m not sure if “armor” changes) Bronze: Engineer - You have placed 100 wires! Red Moon Rises - You have survived the Blood Moon! Silver: ??? - You have used every crafting station! Platinum: ??? (It would presumably have accomplishments in the name because that’s what they are called) - All accomplishments have been unlocked. Silver: ??? - You have gone to The Underworld and back without dying! Gold: ??? - You have defeated all the prime bosses twice! (I wrote it exactly as it said. No typos) Bronze: Is This Heaven? - You have found a floating island! Silver: Leap a tall building in a single bound - Jump really, really high. Safe Fall - You have landed safely. Hellevator - Go from the surface to The Underworld in under a minute. Bronze: ??? - You ran continuously for 60 seconds! Silver: Appease the Volcano Gods - You sacrificed The Guide in boiling hot magma! Homicidal - You killed The Guide, you maniac!

Ok so that was all of them in order. If you need I can add picture. I also have access to leaderboards. I’m not sure if they are in other versions but if not I can provide that too. I made no spelling or capitalization errors. and that took me about 25 minutes lol. Anyways I will occasionally update this every time I get a new one. There are a bunch of other things that are messed up on the Wii U version so if you want to know just ask. Theextroardinary (talk) 22:14, 6 March 2019 (UTC)

I've finished to update the list to take into account Wii U achievements. Now they're all listed with wii u description. It's in the Playstation tab. Any differencies are listed as a different achievent (like Completionist). Thank you for giving this important list. -- Murrayzero (talk) 23:11, 6 March 2019 (UTC)

Ok so I need to check maxed out again because I might have made a punctuation error Theextroardinary (talk) 15:47, 7 March 2019 (UTC)

misleading section title: "Console and Mobile versions"[]

since the achievements listed in this section are not exclusive to those versions (just like desktop doesn't have ONLY 1 achievement), maybe the section should be renamed? I don't see any reason to not include Desktop in the title, particularly if the section above is also renamed "Desktop-exclusive" or something.

Otherwise, I think we should just list the relevant achievements in the Desktop section as well, so long as that doesn't break Template:achievement somehow --Macks2008 (talk) 12:31, 24 May 2020 (UTC)

I think Mecha Mayhem’s icon is mechanical brain of cthulhu[]

    Slightly confused[]

What does it mean that the xbox360 achievements are “deprecated”? I looked up the definition of the word but i cant see how it would be applied in this context. What i did notice is that i got a “Rare” achievement while playing on my xbox one, but it was the xbox 360 variant of the achievement. And on the idle screen, it shows the achievement progress bar for “A Knight in Shining Armors” wich is an old gen console achievement. Is it meant to be like that? Or is it some sort of bug on my xbox? Thirteen13.exe | Message Wall | Contribs 16:42, 10 May 2021 (UTC)

By "depreciated", I'd assume it means the achievements still exist, but are no longer obtainable. However, if you're still able to get them, then there could be something else going on. I don't have the Xbox version myself, but if you can uncover anything, it'd be appreciated. --KM100 (talk) 20:01, 10 May 2021 (UTC)

Add the criteria that the Dryad must be spoken to with full world purity to achieve "And Good Riddance"[]

I spent a decent amount of time spraying everything because I thought it would give on the last block purifying. I'd edit it myself, but I have no idea how to.
