Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery is a tactical turn based game with strong and challenge gameplay narrating thorough amazing and engaging story writing. Truly peak fiction, a perfect combination of all aspect such as story driven game with excellent mechanic, excellent pace, and all around functional is really hard to come by. By history this game is a remake of the 2013 version of the same name which also serve as basis world for one of gacha game called girls' frontline but extend far longer with plot points more clear and concreted together, updated gameplay and graphic arts.

Campaign length is 100+ hrs, and it's both packing with gameplay section and dialogues cutscenes. Have a lot of beautiful CG arts and memorable soundtracks. Driven the plots with lovable casts and lovable main female protagonist. It has strong start and it's only getting better the more you play.

Gameplay focuses on utilize small member of teammates who have respective specialist in ability and preferred weapons, each come with action points needed to perform command such as moving, attacking, and various other action in the game. It heavily emphasizes item managements and tactic to challenge number and fire power superiority those of your opponents. You will be engaged against overwhelming might of enemies, a lot of uncertain, you will never feel like you have upper hand and will be put to ultimate test of tactical sense to overcome such gruesome obstacles. In additional to all out battle, there will be highly tuned boss battle, and stealth section or all of them together in one mission; Boss battle will ask you to utilize items and abilities to gain upper hand against powerful enemy while stealth section is matter of puzzles and discover safe path to avoid being detect and to accomplish the goals. The game constantly introduce new enemy, new tools and new strats all throughout, combining with such engaging story it always feel fresh to play till the end.

For player who want challenge, there're difficult settings, and highest setting won't allow you to save in-battle and only auto save is allowed when phase objective has been completed and moving to next phase. Item is not infinite, and what you have left carried over to the next mission, excess usage of item may bring you to difficult situation later. In additional to that, there're rank for each missions, based purely on how many you can get bonus objective to complete such as picking up all supplies, kill certain enemy within certain turn and more, putting a maximize usage of in-game mechanic to its limit. I have personally completed this game on challenge+ blind run first playthrough, all of them are fairly executed and entirely possible to get thorough in all S rank so I can guarantee that its will be memorable ride, are you that kind of player? because they manage to give me a satisfied brain simulating.

There's no way I can praise story plot without spoiling. It has a lot of impacts, brutally executed in realism enough to pack a punch to stomach equally on how they deal with humor and happiness moment. All plot points are linked together perfectly, and it makes perfect sense on consequence of choices. It's completely 100 hrs of peak fiction, sometimes you forget that it's story-driven game with VN section when there's such a grand gameplay to top it up.

I personally have played a lot of games. 31 years old now yet seeing what they have done on this game left me quite of a lot of feelings, I have never felt anything like this for a long time. Dev doesn't only make a really great game, they create an art, full of passion and love to the project. It truly deserves more attention and recognition on gaming industry, of what it truly means to create the world of fiction on gaming platform. A full 10/10.
