What used to be a great flash game before, 'Dragon Fist 3D' has now been transformed into a very impressive VR game, 'Dragon Fist: VR Kung Fu', what a big step forward with great results!

I suspect most VR gamers among us have checked out what fighting games are available right now,
Besides a series of boxing games with repetitive fights in a ring or training levels, there wasn't really a VR title that could match the feel of a classic fighting game style.
'Dragon Fist: VR Kung Fu' really changes this!

Check out the full lineup of characters in action here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MPU7XJJNqJo

I'm not going to lie, during my first playing session I just played for more than 4 hours, and in the second session half that!
The mind of the Shaolin must also take time to achieve restlessness, constant violence is not the key to mastering the Kung Fu ways.
But Dragon Fist in virtual reality has a great appeal to ignore the restlessness and just kick ass.

Not only does the gameplay feel good, the environments are also very appropriate, and also inspired by well-known classic martial arts/fighting movies, just like in the flash game, if you have ever played this you will appreciate the levels and also the characters from back then. You will recognize them quickly, but if this is your first time playing Dragon Fist, you will quickly notice how appropriate these levels are.
Some levels also have interactive objects such as drums that you can play or tables that can break, but each level has its own atmosphere nicely incorporated.
In addition to a series of levels, you also have a very extensive choice of characters, an impressive 40.
Most characters also have unique fighting styles and each character also has their own special attack,
That's 40 different specials, temporary iron arms, throwing a knife, blocking the others' movements, a boost attack, even a popular 'hadoken'! (psst, if you want to do the hadoken you have to fight with 'Master Kwun' - And if you want to use the wolverine claws you have to fight with 'The Tiger)

Also quite important to know is that the game supports Finger Tracking with valve index controllers,
this function in combination with the mouth movement responses of microphone sound are undoubtedly very appropriate regarding kung fu fighting,
Want to hit your opponent by using pinks only? yes of course why not!
Want to poke a pair of eyes with your index or middle fingers? go ahead!

There are also a lot of different spectator cameras available that provide some extra fun for some viewers, you can see an overview of these camera views here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZIFvbr8u0XU

The in game reactions of the movements you will do with your hands, wrists, arms and sometimes your whole body are very accurate.
But you can also in case of emergency you can still practice the pimp-slap into a martial art.
In addition to the special attack, each character also has an alternate costume that you can choose from.
There are also a lot of difficulty levels to choose from,
once you've ventured into the hard mode and need even more challenge you have even 'harder', and then even master mode!
The harder the mode is set, the less details you will be able to check during the fighting rounds.
Otherwise you will be able to track how much hp the opponent or you have, how many knockouts are still available, etc.
With higher difficulty you will be able to see less details and if I'm not mistaken, with 'harder' you won't see any details, master mode is then ultra difficult with no details, and before I forget, a realism mode has recently been added as well.

There is a lot of content in this game, and that's not nothing, there are also a number of modes, you can just choose who your opponent is or challenge a series of opponents like in the classic fighting games and also in 'Dragon Fist 3D '.
You will not have unlocked all opponents at the start,
you do this with the help of stars that you achieve according to your success in defeating characters.
In the long run this can become a bit difficult to unlock them all, but if you play the 'master' mode they are all unlocked, but ultra difficult of course.

The developer told me that he would like to add weapons to the game and even a multiplayer mode,
"Is your 'shtyle' unblockable? How can your shtyle block another shtyle? Try to block my shtyle with your shtyle? Let's see who have the best shtyle!"
Could already be one of the funny opening lines during an online fight,
then add some appropriate martial arts fighting sounds and fun while burning calories is guaranteed.
Possible soundtrack expansions, if this were possible in the future, could put the icing on the cake to make the in-game battles as appropriately atmospheric as possible.
So things to look forward to!

Anyways, if you made it this far then you might wanna read it again with more appropriate music but remember,
'Don't think, feel'
