Everything about this should have been a slam dunk. I was expecting an isometric shooter/fighter/beat em up like Ember Knights. And for a hot minute, it was - navigating sewers and underground tunnels and those were fun. But I was losing my patience when it turned into a metroidvania and I had to figure out where I was going. We spent far too much time trying to find the next section getting bogged down in trying to find the next bit of story to get to the action. While the graphics were good and I enjoyed the theme of the game, the gameplay was also kinda clunky. Some of the cool things in the promo video on this page were further into the game and I wasn't enjoying myself enough to continue to get to that point. And honestly, I only gave this game the time of day at all to begin with, because of the online coop which I played with a friend. And didn't really do anything to increase my enjoyment with the game.
