Can it do the deck?

I know it was designed as game for arcades, but this is just disgusting game design. Being able to button mash everything up until the boss is stupid, and leaves you wholly unprepared for the absurd jump in difficulty the boss is. The game should force you to get better over time to progress instead of expecting you to just instantly become a pro after a bunch of babying you....
